Gentlemen, I am in the process of confirming the program for the meeting.  I need a hard confirmed count for those attending.  I need to order materials.  We will be taking the IAEI 2002 one and two family dwelling course at the meeting.  This course will be taught by Amos Lowrance the senior electrical inspector in Chattanooga and Ernie Broome the chief electrical inspector in Knoxville.  You will receive 4-6 hours of state approved continuing education depending on if you want the course to go 4 or 6 hours.  Indicate with your response 4 or 6 hours and the majority wins-remember you need 32 hours to renew your license.  The materials cost for chapter members will be approximately $35 because it’s the 2002 course (2008 NEC course not available until November 2007).   Non chapter member’s price is $95.00  I plan on the chapter paying the teaching fees and providing lunch.  I would like to have at least 20- in attendance. I will offer it to our member’s first then open it up to the public if need be. We will hold our short business meeting during lunch.   I guarantee you it will be the cheapest education hours you can get.  I need to order the materials by the end of this week. I realize that those at the conference may not get this email but I have no choice and some have already confirmed the date change.  I need your reservation by Friday so I can order the materials.  Let me know.  This will be an outstanding meeting and the education should help us all do a better job in the field.  A course outline is pasted below.

Let me know…

Length of Seminar: 16 hr, 8 hr, 4 hr

Learning Outcomes: After taking this course, the participant should be able to:

·       Know the NEC general requirement and wiring methods as they apply to one- and two-family dwelling electrical systems.

·       Apply information received to branch circuit and feeder calculations, grounding, services, swimming pools, overcurrent protection and devices such as ceiling fans, receptacles, and luminaires.
