The February 18th meeting of the East Tennessee Chapter of ASHI was attended by 24 chapter members and one invited guest.  An outstanding presentation on Manufactured Stone was provided by Rob Poitevent.  We were all informed that the small defect that we sometimes see can be caused by improper installation.  As the use of this product increases we will appreciate the additional knowledge that we gained.  A slide show was also presented on Decks, Stairs and Railings, presented by Michael Conley. This was a good refresher of the many improper installations that we observe daily in our profession.

A special welcome was given to our three new ETASHI Chapter Members; Todd Carpenter from Knoxville, TN., Mike Ernest from Mentone, AL, and Roy Potter from Ooltewah, TN.  Our chapter is growing and we encourage new home inspectors to join and share the experience of many seasoned home inspection veterans.  All of the education hours required for licensed home inspectors by Tennessee and ASHI are provided for a minimum cost at our quarterly meetings.  Our next quarterly meeting will be held on May 19, 2012.  Details will be announced at a later date.
